Pin Tabs

If you are working with many tabs at once, need to keep certain ones open, and maybe want to ensure you don’t lose anything, it is better to pin them to Chrome by right-clicking on it and choosing Pin. That will turn the tab into a small icon on the left that will remain even if you close and re-open the browser window.

If you always open the same pages on the web, Chrome will help you by having them open whenever you fire up Google’s browser. To do so, head to the Settings menu, click On Startup and choose what you want to open on startup: a select list of URLs that open up every time; or the New Tab page; where you left off.

Update Autofill for Easier Shopping

For easy access to credit card and shipping information while shopping online, go to the settings menu, where you will see input payment methods and addresses and more. When Chrome identifies a purchase form, the data you saved here will automatically appear in the drop-down list (you will still need to enter your CVC credit card number). This works and is mobile.

Top Useful Hidden Chrome Features That You May Not Have Known (part 3)

Quick Mobile Search (Android)

On an Android device, to search a word or phrase, you just need to highlight it via a long tap and Chrome will generate a search card for it through a pull-up menu at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the link or slide up for more to visit the web address. On iOS device, if you highlight a word or phrase, it will produce a pop-up with the option to “Look up”. You need to scroll to the bottom and tap Search Web for more.

Right-Click to Search Google

If you are visiting a webpage and want to learn more about a word or phrase that you come across, Chrome offers an easy search option. Highlight the word or phrase you want to search, right-click, and choose Search Google for [highlighted text]. Your Google search will appear on a new tab. If you are using a Mac, to perform a web search, you can control-click on a highlighted term to perform a search or highlight it and then drag and drop it directly into Chrome’s omnibox.

Open Accidentally Closed Tabs

Google removed some options from the Chrome tab menu, such as “Reopen closed window.” If you accidentally close a tab, right-click on the menu bar and the menu will provide the option to re-open a closed tab. You can also track your browser history, where recently visited websites reside.

Manage Your Tabs

There are several ways to manage tabs in Chrome:

  • If you type a search into Chrome’s omnibox, you can open the results in a separate tab by holding down the Alt button (Command on Mac) and hit return.
  • You can drag multiple Chrome tabs around at once by holding down the Control/Command key and choosing the tabs you want. Once everything is picked up, just drag and reorganize as usual.
  • If you want to quick access to another tab, you can do it by holding down the Control/Command key and a number 1 through 9. Each number is associated with a different tab beginning with the No. 1 on the left.

Integrated YouTube Control

Now Chrome allows users to control YouTube no matter which tab is being opened. When playing a video on YouTube, there will be a music note icon featured on the browser menu. Click this icon to see what you are playing. Either click the video’s title or control playback right from this pop-up window to open YouTube.

Another way is to use the three-dot icon on the top right of the screen. In the pop-up window, choose the Chromecast-enabled device which you like your browser window to appear on.

Search Directly Inside Sites with the Omnibox

You can search via many websites without navigating to them actually, as long as they are in your search engines list. This trick gives you some benefit if you wanted, for instance, to directly go to the Wikipedia article on orangutans without heading to Google.com or Wikipedia’s front page.

So, to quickly search Wikipedia, click Add under Manage search engines and then add the site. After doing that, if you type Wikipedia.org in the omnibox, you will see a prompt which tells you to press tab to search in the site. Pressing the tab button, you will see search Wikipedia written on the omnibox’s left side. You just need to type your query and Chrome will only search within Wikipedia.

Do More with Omnibox

Just like the Google search bar, the Chrome omnibox functions also perform some of the same tricks. It can answer basic questions, solve math problems, and perform conversions even before you have finished typing your search.

Top Tips To Use Twitch For Watching E-sports (part 2)

4. Activate Theater Mode or Full Screen Mode

Some may admit that the interface of Twitch is a bit busy. You can minimize the distractions by activating the Theater Mode or the Full Screen Mode by clicking the icons in the video player’s bottom-right corner.

The Theater Mode darkens the interface to make you focus on the video content. This mode also increases the on-screen real estate of the video player and keeps the chat feed. On the other hand, the Full Screen Mode ditches the chat feed so that it completely fills your television or monitor, which helps taking things to the next level.

5. Join Squad Stream

Released in 2019, Squad Stream lets up to four Twitch streamers broadcast together in one window. This helps users get more angles on the action to discover new streams and chat with multiple Twitch communities at the same time.

6. Adjust the Stream’s Video Resolution

If your PC has a very strong internet connection, adjust the video quality to 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, which level Twitch video streams can peak at. If not, you can alter the stream resolution by clicking the gear in the lower-right corner of the interface. Twitch offers resolution options including 1080p60,  720p60, 480p, 360p, and 160p.

If you don’t know which video quality level is most suitable for your internet connection, choose Auto and the Twitch app will select an ideal stream resolution for your PC based on the signal strength.

7. Ditch Commercials

There are many benefits when subscribing to your favorite channel via Twitch Prime or a monthly donation, such as subscriber badges, custom emotes.

However, ad-free viewing is one of the most attractive subscription bonuses. If a channel has this option activated on the back end, you won’t have to worry that the feed is interrupted by a Twitch-delivered commercial spot again.

The 11 Coolest New Gadgets of 2020 (part 2)

Samsung Sero TV

It is especially worth noting Samsung’s new Sero TV due to its defining feature going beyond LED and 4K as well as its transition from the horizontal plane to the, gasp, vertical plane. The Sero means “vertical” in Korean. This QLED TV flips so that longways it resembles a 43-inch phone screen, which means it is ideal for mirroring an Instagram or TikTok feed from your Galaxy phone if you have one. And this is the reason why you can hope that you’d be looking at your phone screen less from this year.

LG Signature OLED TV R

Signature OLED TV R is one of LG’s new TVs in 2020 transitioning from horizontal to non-existent by rolling down into its base if it is not needed. This OLED 4K HDR smart television was introduced by LG at 2019 CES. All you need is a rumored $60,000, according to CNET. $60,000 for a 65-inch TV that blocks and then unblocks a view, which epitomizes the phrase less screen time but still leaving you with a not-insignificant base to contend with. At least that screen is roll-tested to guarantee for the best quality for years. Moreover, when one CES TV flips and another disappears altogether, we know that tech companies are getting funky with the way we watch television.

Alienware Concept UFO

The selling point for Alienware Concept UFO is simple: It is the Nintendo Switch of PC gaming, with detachable cons, a method to connect those two detached cons in order to make an eight-inch display, one big controller, and a kickstand to prop up the screen. However, the most significant is that Alienware compares this gadget’s power to that of a PC gaming device to support games that the Switch won’t. Unfortunately, it’s just a concept with no concrete plans for production or rollout, so you are stuck with the Switch library or your phone for the time being.

The 11 Coolest New Gadgets of 2020 (part 1)

If you are looking for the cool tech gadgets that you can buy right now, deep into our list of the coolest gadgets, from earbuds to high-tech jean jackets, in the past year.

Mercedes-Benz VISION AVTR

There is no way in hell this gadget will be hitting asphalt this year. It may never hit asphalt. However, it is both insane and earth-friendly, so very important. To create the VISION AVTR, Mercedes-Benz cooperated with James Cameron and the Avatar team to brainstorm just how a vehicle can become with its environment without actually being a plant. It merge with its driver without needing any prerequisite tail connecting. Mercedes-Benz showcased this advanced, conceptual technology of AVTR at CES 2020, ranging from autonomous driving (with no steering wheel) to a wildly efficient electric battery and neurons that flow around the vehicle in order to sense passengers’ energy. And the description of this car-ish vehicle keeps becoming wilder. This gadget can roll sideways like a crab on rotating wheels with its back covered with mini solar panels. It can also recognize its driver’s breathing patterns. It can do mostly everything but fly. Sot that it makes us have to reimagine how the future of transportation is.

KEEP Cannabis Storage

We are leaping from the future back to the present, where cannabis is getting prettied-up in order to ease its way to legalization and social acceptance. The new KEEP Cannabis Storage is discreet on the outside with its display having a clock and weather info. However, it opens to reveal multiple storage spaces for various kinds of cannabis products and a rolling tray. The kicker is its locking system, working via facial recognition or a data-encrypted app. If someone else is trying to get into your stash, you will be sent a notification, which is very practical if you have kids, houseguests, or greedy roommates.

Top Tips To Use Twitch For Watching Esports (part 1)

Twitch is a helpful tool for watching esports, but its best features might not be obvious to every user. These following tips show you how to dig into Twitch’s toolset so that you can have better esports-viewing experience.

If Twitch is a regular part of your entertainment diet, instead of manually launching the Twitch app after your PC boots up, let it open on its own.

In order to set the Twitch desktop app to open automatically, click Settings > General > Preferences. Then toggle the Run Twitch on Startup option to the on position. After doing that, the next time you start your PC, Twitch will load automatically and log you into the system.

2. Find Games

Many have the habit of only watching their favorite channels and games. However, sometimes, you will want to step outside of the familiar. Luckily, finding new streams and games is easy with Twitch.

Click the Browse tab, and choose one of the highlighted games to see the related streams. Or you can key a search term into the Browse’s tab search box to see what is available. Then you can choose the dedicated Esports tab to see the highlighted streams.

3.  Follow Your Favorite Streamers and Get Notifications

You will quickly get a list of favorite streamers if you spend significant time viewing all Twitch content and you will want to know when the streamers go live. To do that, follow them by simply clicking their channels’ Heart icons. Then the channels will appear in the Followed Channel column on the left side of the interface.

In addition, you can click the Bell icon, meaning Get Notifications feature, which is next to the Heart icon. This will let a streamer alert you as they go live or post a rebroadcast.

Top Useful Hidden Chrome Features That You May not Have Knowns (part 1)

While there is tons of debate over which web browser is the best, there’s still something special about the sleek package known as Google Chrome. Most internet users are on Chrome, according to Net Applications. Check out the following list for tricks hidden inside Chrome that you might not have known.

Incognito Mode in Google Chrome

If you don’t want Chrome storing any cookies or recording your browsing history, use Incognito Mode. It is a perfect option as browsing for things you don’t want the world to know about, such as more adult activities or holiday gift shopping.

To do that, head to the top-right corner of the browser, click the three-dot icon on it and select New incognito window. On mobile devices, tap the three-dot icon on the top-right (Android) or bottom-right (iOS) and select New Incognito Tab.

We also want to note that Incognito mode won’t block your behavior from being monitored by the websites you visit or by work. Consider a VPN service if you are serious about online privacy.

Delete Your Chrome History

If you want to delete your browsing history, click the three-dot icon on the top-right corner of the browser and select More tools > Clear browsing data. Or press Control-Shift-Delete on a PC or shift-Command-Delete on a Mac. In the pop-up window, you can delete all or select specific information you want to delete, such as browsing history, cookies, cached images and files. Click the Advanced tab to delete download history, users and passwords or other sign-in data, auto-fill site settings, form data, and hosted app data.

Share Chrome With Guest Mode

Chrome syncs your history, bookmarks, settings, and passwords across multiple devices. Keeping your account synced will help you be automatically signed into YouTube, Gmail, Search, and other Google services. If you lose your phone or need to migrate to a new device, it can also prove invaluable.

However, if you lend someone your device for a time, you may not want them having access to your information. Set them up with a guest profile using the Guest Mode of Chrome by clicking your icon in the top-right corner and click Guest.

ONEPLUS 8 PRO REVIEW

OnePlus8 Pro is an Android smartphone sparing almost no expense in the goal to feature the best and most powerful hardware components. It is the result of a relentless spec battle with Samsung to become the fastest Android smartphone that experience money can buy – starting at $899.

That price is simultaneously low and high. Although nine hundred bucks seem to be so much to pay for an OnePlus phone, it still costs less than its direct competition. For many years, OnePlus succeeded with the strategy of undercutting the competition on price at the same time appealing to Android enthusiasts. However, over the past few years, OnePlus has been developed by a niche company for its fans to one of the most competitive brands in the smartphone field. Meanwhile, its prices have climbed steadily since it more seriously took Samsung head-on. And it can’t be denied that a $900 smartphone is expensive, no matter which brand it belongs to.

The Galaxy line of Samsung is the gold standard since it is the most ubiquitous and trustworthy and it doesn’t lack any major feature, not to mention that it is reliably good and is sold by all major carriers.

The regular OnePlus 8, which costs less, is being sold in both T-Mobile and Verizon stores. It is the mainstream device that most people will see and is online-only with a different job: beat the Samsung Galaxy S20.

Coming in just one size: big, the OnePlus 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch screen and tiny bezels. However, just a few people will be able to use it one-handed. Although that’s not a problem for those that prefer large phones, others wish it had a smaller version.

Like other OnePlus phones, it also has a three-stage sliding ringer switch which is very convenient for users. It is also rated for water protection and IP68 dust. Although OnePlus has historically chafed at paying for that IP rating, the goal here is clearly to ensure that this version doesn’t lose to Samsung anywhere on a spec sheet.
